Tyanulin's overtime winner clinches hattrick, keeps home ice possible

Artur Tyanulin, who nearly had a hattrick wrapped up in a wild first period, finally found his third of the game in overtime on Saturday as the 67's beat Kingston.

If the Barberpoles want to have any chance at home ice advantage in what seems to be becoming an annual tradition -- playing Niagara in the playoffs -- last night was a must-win.

To keep those home ice hopes alive, Niagara would essentially have to lose out, losses the 67's would surely like to save for what feels like an inevitable playoff rematch.

Dante Salituro added a pair for Ottawa, who didn't need to take advantage of Kingston's penalty trouble as they have in earlier matchups this year.

Sunday might be a scoreboard watching day for the idle 67's, who have three games in the final week to close out the year.
