Summer of 67 - by the numbers

58.6 million dollars doled out in guaranteed money to the three ex-Barberpoles in the photo above by the Calgary Flames, Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators respectively.

17.25 - the average age of the 67's defence corps at training camp for a team that could still could be very raw on the blueline this year.

13 second-round picks between now 2022, that the 67's can spend on this Will Bitten trade that feels inevitable.

9 points for Sasha Chmelevski in the Ivan Hlinka tournament, and his NHL draft position if he keeps this up (maybe that's a bit of a stretch).

1 67 alum playing in the World Cup of Hockey, as Logan Couture was a late addition to Team Canada.  Not to worry, Austen Keating was left off Canada's Hlinka roster, ensuring the 67's snub stays alive.

20 days until the season opener in Peterborough, while the pre-season begins tonight in Kingston.

Projected 2016-17 roster

The Barberpoles line up alright by comparison to the rest of an Eastern Conference that Mississauga will probably own this season, with the other nine teams just living in their world.

It's a work in progress but the 67's are starting to put together a team of future linchpins, giving them their icetime at a young age.
