Salituro nabbed by Knights

The London Knights pulled another rabbit out of their hat and this time it just so happened to impact the 67's.

Following a recent ECHL demotion, Dante Salituro looked like a returning candidate for the OHL and its seller-heavy trade deadline market.

Much as they did, albeit unsuccessfully last year with Sonny Milano, the Knights read the tea leaves and swooped in to acquire Salituro for what would otherwise be a bargain price.

Unlike five seasons ago when the 67's didn't get Ryan Martindale back from serial prospect-killers Edmonton, who kept him in the ECHL all year, Ottawa benefits from what was thought to be a dead asset.

The Barberpoles bring in defender Chris Martenet, a towering overaged defenceman that the 67's desperately need to take some minutes away from the younger guys, as well as a 2nd and a 3rd rounder.

Ottawa added some depth by acquiring Zack Dorval at the deadline after peddling away Drake Rymsha for four picks.
